“I am not your average social worker!” -TSW
Tasha completed undergraduate coursework in Human Services/Management. Now sprinkle life’s experiences. She left Louisiana and headed to Texas for a new start…both personally and professionally. She completed MSW Community and Administrative Practices program. During this time, she studied Urban Nonprofit Management, and Public Health. She’s a Prepare-Enrich Facilitator that focuses on creating and repairing intimate interpersonal connections.
Tasha is the founder and visionary of Tactical Social Worker PLLC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for the state of Texas. Sprinkle more life experiences. Her passion for firearms training developed during her final year of grad school. Understanding how trauma impacts our mental health, her motivation for training shifted. Preventive care was her focus; to empower herself and other Black women to stand up for themselves through boundaries and creating safe spaces.
Protecting your peace, your space, being pretty and protected goes far beyond carrying a firearm and going to the range. It blossoms from unlearning and relearning what we know to be safe; limits and boundaries; and following the ability to reinforce those boundaries when violated.
Here’s a few personal nuggets about Tasha. She’s a Louisiana Lady and mother to an amazing Sun who shares her love for food. She does not fit into boxes and is very layered. Queer. Non Monogamous. Spiritual. My practices are rooted in trauma informed care of those at the intersections of Black, that, a large portion of my clients are at the intersection of Black LGBTQIA+ or Black & NonMonogamous.
